Feasting in daylight
Ravaging ailment all over
Days grows behind bars
Captured for no cause
They wet their appetite
With passion and wine
While saliva wets mine
So I called
For strong bones
And sunrise eyes
We took timber
And colours
To streets and tarmac
Singing a usual song
For this unusual occasion
There they smoked us
Like cheap rabbits we are
Some fled, others fainted
A handful died
And I was caught
They brought me before him
To show remorse
And pledge fealty
After their long
Shouts and scary antics
They allowed me to speak
“I would gladly Fall
With the handwriting on the wall”.
